I tried using it to read the Diavels VIN, but unfortunately without success — neither with model year 2011 nor 2012.
Debug report could not be generated (installation folder is empty) - the last debug report (2.0.4.9) is used

The VIN for the Panigale can be provided. Unfortunately, no VIN is shown in the diagnostic protocol for the Diavel — it is a 2011 model year.

Would there still be a possibility to obtain a shared/common license covering both motorcycles?

I have several motorcycles in my fleet, including a Panigale 1199 and a Diavel 1200, which I maintain and diagnose using MelcoDiag - great tool by the way :)
I got licenses for both motorcycles; however, I can no longer access MelcoDiag with the license for the Diavel.

I have already tried ...
