it's because you didn't use the installation tool setup.exe
i suspect you unzipped all files in the same place.
the ini files for the language shall resid in a subfolder of jpdiag named lang

it's not happy with your trick if the default comes back

have you tried the 2 speeds ?

you would have more success with v1.4

your settings are correct but a lot of v1.5 elm are not compliant

i'd test an other elm

your elm is coming from where ?
v1.5 need to comes from serious shops else they are not working
