Hi
Have a Ducati Panigale 899 year 2014 which I use on the track, bought the bike used and on the ECU is hat a sticker with the text Upmap, I dont have the dongle to take of the Upmap, made contact to Upmap they cant help, I can buy a new one
Bike idle poorly and goes up to 5000 rpm sometimes by it self, and are running fat
Have checked ECU for errors with JP diag, no errors
Checked map sensors, these is okay, even tried new ones
I would like to make a reset of my Map sensors with JP diag, but it gives me a warning that I could loose my Upmap, my questions is could I destroy my ECU if I make the reset of map sensors?
You would have the UPmap on your bike does it show that in the display? seen others writing that it says RACING EVO, mine dont!
And thanks for a fantastic forum

Re: Upmap on Ducati Panigale 899
well you mean you are using melcodiag
do not worry , you have no switchable umap on the 899 , it'a a complete reflash , yo are not concerned with this issue.
it could be a dead map sensor , check my video on youtube to determine which one is defekt cause the error is not recorded by the ecu

when you unplug / replug the defekt one nothing happen while engine is running

Re: Upmap on Ducati Panigale 899
Hi Jpl250
Sorry for late answer hasnt been working on the bike since last year, but new track session is coming so has to get ready
Yes I am using Melcodiag, and as I understand it I can use Melcodiag and make reset of mapsensors without loosing the T800 flash?
Have checked mapsensor more times, vakuum lines and much others. Idle changes when I unplug the mapsensor, I even checked the Mapsensors with vakuum and measured change in volt values to see if they work correct
And I seen your video more times, thanks for that
And many thanks for the help

Re: Upmap on Ducati Panigale 899
i'mnot sure what you call T800 , but there is no risk of map desynchronisation on the 899
Re: Upmap on Ducati Panigale 899
I put in a link to the Upmap T800 so that you can see it
https://store.up-map.it/en/devices/609-t800p.html
Thanks for information I will try the reset on the map sensor, motor has be changed so I think it is a good idea to make the reset
Old motor made a small crack in the engine block because previous owner ran the bike on track without thermostat
