Unable to reset Desmo Service on 2015 Scrambler

Hi,
the installer often locks dll when installing. It was the case for me. So, you can do anything in a reading mode, like reading error codes, but you cannot do resets.
Go to melcodiag directory, choose dll files, right click, properties, general and go straight down to tick "unlock" box. Do this for both dll.
It worked for me. 800 MY 2015 classic scrambler.

Why would the installer install locked files?

there is no installer .
depends where you unzip the files , windows lock the files itself if you drop them in a folder you havent the full rights .

it shall not be lock if you unzip on the desktop or c:\users\yourname\mydocuments

I think that may indeed be the problem. Both .dll files were "blocked". I have now unblocked them and will try again tomorrow.

Tried again with .ddl files unblocked. No difference, still can't reset the desmo service.
I then completely uninstalled all of the Melcodiag stuff and did a clean install from the zip file into the Documents folder. Put the lic.le file in the same folder, made sure the .dll files were unblocked and tried again. No difference. Still cant clear service light although some of the passive tests work.

Would it be worth trying M3C9? Although it seems too need a different licence file.

no chances with m3c9 and the scambler . it's only working on melcodiag

So would I. I tried again today with a Bluetooth ELM327 that I borrowed from my son and got exactly the same results. Can't reset service light but can test fuel pump, headlight, speedo and tacho. I'm hoping to borrow my son's laptop the next few days to try with that, is running Windows 11.
As I said earlier I never had any issues with my old Laptop and Windows 95.

if the test are working , it is not a computer issue .
you shall have the microsoft framework 4.8 installed
you can retry with the 2.0.5.3 , i had some debug message in the bottom of the screen

I tried with 2.0.5.3 today. Still can't reset the service light.
I did notice that the headlight test didn't work nor did the speedo test but when switching on the RPM it also turned on the headlight. 2.0.5.2 might have been the same, I can't be sure.
