Ducati Streetfighter V4s - 2023

Post by joke84 »

Good evening,

I wanted to make a first attempt at obtaining a license, but unfortunately, I haven't succeeded. I tried using an OBD2 Bluetooth device v1.5. After connecting and retrieving the data (serial number, etc.), nothing happens for a long time; then, a very small window appears asking whether my motorcycle is a 2011 model (click "yes") or a 2012 model (click "no"). However, the model year is actually 2023. I tried clicking "yes" once and "no" the next time.

Neither worked; no data came through.

Could someone perhaps help me out with this?

Many thanks and best regards,
Joe

Please forgive the late reply. To be honest, I don't remember exactly—most likely Amazon. In the meantime, I ordered a new OBD connector, this time with a direct USB cable connection: ELM327 USB OBD2 FTDI FT232RL Chip OBD II.

It arrived today after several weeks. Unfortunately, however, the process—and the errors—are exactly the same.

It connects to the software and everything shows green, but it can't read the VIN and asks me for the bike's model year: 2011 or 2012.

It’s really frustrating :(

Software: melcodiag 2.0.5.3

yes i can imagine
i can't tell you what's wrong.
-ingnition is not on
-you are not connected to the diag port
- the elm is still not suitable im still very cautious about v1.5 , i never see a v1.4 not working , but a lot of v1.5 are not working

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I just don't understand it: the previous adapter worked via Wi-Fi in the car but not with the Ducati. The new one with the USB cable also works in the car but not with the Ducati.

Is there any chance of a software update so that version 1.5 might still work in the future?

i don't think so , it's not a compatibility issue
those kind of elm only works on 1 single pid , it's not able to works with all ecu separatly

they mainly support SAE J1979 protocols but badly support ISO 15765-4 / ISO-TP KWP2000 etc ..
