Yes, i can see the milage in melcodiag.
As far as i know the display will store the milage seperate from the ecu, and when they do not have the same input it will show — — — only…
But i don‘t know if this is true or not

there is 1 copy in the bbs , 1 copy in the dashboard , and maybe 1 copy in the ecu
we shall resynch everything , i guess you tried to unplug the battery ?

Do you know if it is possible to sync with melcodiag?
Or do i need to go to the dealer?

i just edited it once in the eep of the dash , but it's tricky and you need toolings
