Does Melco work on a 1098 TPS reset or is the bike too old?

Unfortunately my Hella Guttmann diag tool doesn't work/VERY slow to connect to most Italian bikes

Also, how long does it take to get a licence through to download the Melco software? I'm going out to another Ducati (MS1200 Pikes Peak) on Monday so hope it's quite a rapid turn around for a licence!

1098 has kkl bus , not CAN bus.
so you need to use jpdiag for it with a 3pin fiat amp plug
It's a 15yo software as well

i've got the cable luckily! but that's good enough for me, JPDiag i think is the same as the other one?
