2016 Ducati Monster 821

Hi All,
Ive just completed a single swing arm modification on my 2016 821 Monster and when I came to switch I had an engine management light come on.
It was great to come across this platform, so I duelly installed this and got the ELM327 USB unit to see if I could clear the fault.
The software picks up the the bike info but doesnt allow me to search faults or do anything beyond this so iam stumped.
I have two applications, Melcodiag which I can connect to but then nothing. JPDiag allows connects but then disconnects. I am not sure where I am going wrong.
Help would be hugely appreciated.
