Hi from Australia! Having a problem with connecting to my ducati 959 using melco diag. The elm connector and melco diag communicate with the bike. But does not retrieve any ecu data. In fact it only asks me if my bike is 2011 or 2012. I can communicate with it when I chose the m3 ecu function but I cant clear codes or read data. I cant send for a license if I cant get the debug code. Any help is appreciated thank you.

hi
it seems youyour elm is not communicating with the bike.
be sure ignition is on ,
diag port is the correct one,
you can issue the report even if you can get connected to the bike.
click on connect then
untick/tick debug info for report then click write report button

Is there 2 diag ports in the tail? It cycles the ignition when i use the m3 ecu option and it sees 3 ecus. But when I search for dtcs it says no activity. Im not saying that the elm is communicating with it, but it is doing something with the bike. The melcodiag program recognises it as elm327 v1.5

don't use the m3c option , or you may have unexpected behavior
ok melcofiag see the elm ,
some v1.5 are not compatible by the way , depends where you bought it

Yea I was thinking it might be the elm. I know the m3 option shouldn't work. But it does communicate with the bike that way, it cycles the ignition when scanning. Using the any bike option it scans and asks if the bike is 2011 or 2012. Then the debug bix goes green and the report generates a list with no information on it.
