Hyper 821 Not identifying ECU

Hi, I have a 2013 European Hypermotard 821 with IAW 7SM.D0, HW210/8010-AF11, Ducati P/N 28642271A and P8015G22 printed on the ECU.

MelcoDiag 2.0.5.2 + ELM327 v1.5 automatically detects "Hyper 821" and I have selected "Ducati Hypermotard 821 / 2013".
Communication works and 7 PIDs are detected, and the VIN is correctly read as ZDMB200AADB001674, matching the motorcycle.

However the report shows:
Ecu = N/A
Hardw =
Softw = N/A

I also get the majority of Sensors Data, like Engie Temp, Ambient Temp, Voltages, RPM, APS, TPS, DTC, Gear, Brake, etc.

Could you please tell me whether the ECU identification/software information is unavailable from this ECU, or whether MelcoDiag simply doesn't decode the relevant response for this 2013 7SM calibration?

I am particularly interested in determining the actual calibration/software installed in the ECU, because the dashboard displays HYPERSTRADA even though the motorcycle is a Hypermotard. I would like to establish whether the engine ECU is running a Hypermotard or Hyperstrada calibration.

you should have more data displayed.
i see you have a v1.5 elm , do you have an other model for testing ?

Hey JPL, not yet unfortunately. This cheap clone w "elm327 v1.5" is all I got currently.
Are you inclined to think w a elm 1.4 device I would have more chances of communicating correctly w the ECU?

we got a lot of issue with the v1.5 clones

Thanks JPL, I will be trying to buy something more qualitative soon.

PS: The Interface has a "CH340 25k80" sticker on it if that's of any help.
I can also paste you what Android "USB Device Info" is saying about the Interface:
Vendor Name (from DB): QinHeng Electronics
Product ID: 7523
Product Name (reported): USB Serial
Product Name (from DB): CH340 serial converter

the wch340 converter is working very well .
but it's only in charge of the communication between your pc and the elm clone.
usually we ahve issues with the elm clone itself which is not embedding all commands we need
