MULTISTRADA 1200 2017 DVT OK DESMO SERVICE - OK OIL SERVICE - KO DATA SERVICE

Hello everyone.
I have a 2017 Multistrada PP DVT. Using MELCODIAG I got:

- ok reset DESMO SERVICE
- ok reset OIL SERVICE
- KO reset DATA SERVICE

In order to make the DATA SERVICE light disappear I was forced to set the instrumentation date to December 2017.

it's possible your model need to calculate a key algorythm to enter into the dash ecu which i don't know yet

I understand, so it is not a problem of ELM327 and or transmission speed.
I have seen videos of the DATASERVICE reset made with MOTORSCAN and OBDSTAR diagnosis where the new SERVICE expiration date must be manually entered, instead in MELCODIAG there is no this option. Could this be the reason?

no, melcodiag take the date of your computer .
if you want to try a different date , you need to change your computer date.

so dash don't need to be unlock to change service date , some need . it shall be related to dash software version
