Hello everyone, today I am trying to use the Melcolag program on my 2021 Multistrada 950s. I purchased, as described, the OBD2-USB Model ELM327 V1.5 (as shown in the attached photo) and the corresponding 6-pin Euro 5 adapter for the bike. I installed the ELM driver on the PC, and as shown in the attached screenshot of Windows 11 (Device Manager), it is correctly detected on COM3. The problem is that when I connect it to the bike and click on connect, After a short time, the error message appears as you can see in the photo, which is: "can't init ELM! check your setting COM number and COM Speed" Can you tell me what I need to do to make it work? Do I need to change the COM port speed on Windows, which I think is set to 9600 by default, or do you think the problem is something else? I've also read somewhere that someone recommends using ELM version 1.4 and NOT 1.5, is that correct? Would you advise me to return this one and buy a version 1.4? Thank you.

Ho sintallato i driver del dispositivo ELM sul PC, e come visibile nella foto allegata dello screenshot di Windows 11 (Gestione dispositivi) Viene rilavato correttamente sulla porta COM3. Il problema è che quando vado a collegarlo alla moto e clicco su connetti, dopo poco tempo compare il messaggio di errore che vedete in foto, ovvero: "can't init ELM! check your setting COM number and COM Speed" Sapete dirmi cosa devo vare per porterlo far funzionare? Devo modificare su windows la velocità della porta COM che mi pare che di default sia impostata a 9600 oppure il problema secondo voi è un altro? Ho letto anche da qualche parte qualcuno che consiglia di utilizzare la Versione ELM 1.4 e NON la 1.5, è corretto? Mi consigliate di restituire questa e comprare una Versione 1.4? Grazie

Sorry for the late reply, but I encountered the same problem with my 950s 2019, also on Win11.
I changed the speed to 38400 in hardware manager on the COM port.
Try then to disconnect and connect cable. If that does not work, right click on COM port and do uninstall, but do not tick try to uninstall drivers. Then you disconnect cable, connect it again, and check that the speed on COM port in Windows is 38400.
After that when you start Melcodiag it works.
