2010 Multistrada recognition v 2.0.4.8

First, thank you for providing this software. I left a very small token of my appreciation via pay pal last night. Maybe it will buy you a pint.

I have a new-to-me 2010 Multistrada 1200s. I have all the appropriate cables. I am able to connect the bike but it does not recognize the vin. I get a dialog box click yes for 2011 or no for 2012. Mine is a 2010.
I clicked 2011 and was able to request and receive a license.
It recognized the ECU type, hardware version, software version but not the vin#
Once connected I tried to reset the service interval under the resets tab. The program stops responding. I have tried various com ports, speeds, reboots and connection sequences. I get the same result. I didn't know if an older version of the software might solve the issue easily.

Any help would be appreciated.

well there is 2 fact to know on the 2010-2011-2012 models.
- Melcodiag don't get their VIN
- As melcodiag is not able to grab the VIN , it can't guess what is the right command .sometimes you need to push desmo buton instead of oil button , sometimes you need to choose 2012 year instead of 2011 and also try the 2 buttons Oil and desmo

the freeze problem is known , it will be fixed in a future release, but that is not preventing to send the reset command

I'll try the desmo button and select 2012 instead of the oil button this time.
The command must not have been sent before the freeze.
Do you have a 1.0.4 version I could try?

as a follow-up. I selected a 2011, then did a desmo reset. that cleared the oil reminder. THANK YOU!
