Hi everyone,
I'm trying to connect melco to my multistrada 1200s y2011 without success.
I've bought the cable "AMHTDOL VAG KKL 409.1 USB Chip FTDI FT232RL" and the adapter "3 pin a 16 pin OBD2 fiat with clip" these are the links:

YACSEJAO Adattatore da 3 pin a 16... https://www.amazon.it/dp/B0CQLWG14V?ref ... b_ap_share
The program is tested on two different notebook with win 10 and connecting the bike with the program seems to have some problem with com/speed. I've verified the com number and it's the right one.
Do you have any experience on that?
Thank you
Giuseppe

Re: Connection issue with multistrada 1200s 2011
Kkl cable works only with Jpdiag
Your bike need melcodiag , and melcodiag works only with an elm interface

Thank you jpl250rs, I already have an elm interface but Bluetooth, I need an USB one? Another question, for the connection bike-elm is it good the one I already have? This one: https://amzn.eu/d/3wyxuMd
Thank you again for the support

the bluetooth one is ok.
you need to attache a serial comport to it and use it as a serial one

Re: Connection issue with multistrada 1200s 2011
Tried to use the bluetooth one, seems working better but an error occurred. Canbus error, please check your elm and or wiring. I've tried to use different com port 4 and 5 and change the value 9600, etc.jpl250rs wrote: Tue Oct 07, 2025 4:23 pm the bluetooth one is ok.

No idea how to solve honestly.
Re: Connection issue with multistrada 1200s 2011
yes now the link with the elm is correct but no data comes from the bike.
did you switch ignition on ?
have you sure you are connected to the right connector ?

Yes right, the ignition were on as well as the display. The connector have a label with diag on it, so I think it is the right one.jpl250rs wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 9:29 am yes now the link with the elm is correct but no data comes from the bike.

The Ducati dealer was able to diagnose the ECU but I have a doubt... If I switch the ignition on and open the throttle, the display show 5000rpm, searching the web It Is a beaviour of tuneboy mapped ECU. This could create some conflict with melco?
Btw, I would like to thank you for your precious support, do you think it something that's solvable?
Re: Connection issue with multistrada 1200s 2011
Do you play with the baudrate? 9600 in your picture might be wrong. I have to select for cable Elm 38400 and my bluetoth Elm needs 115200.
Re: Connection issue with multistrada 1200s 2011
the baud rate is ok because under conect button i see elmv1.5
i see now in the picture what he is doing wrong
he still using the K line
you need to buy a DDA ( 4 pins) to use the CAN line instead of the line

The cable is this one:https://amzn.eu/d/d3CYcwX
Just to be clear with this one I have to use the bike connection called "Tool" and not the "diag".
