When service resetting

I have a Ducati scrambler 803 2016
I’ve managed to connect using the license and all the options are highlighted
When I perform a service reset and I get a little ding sound , the mileage on my bike, reads 5600 miles until next service.
My question is is this normal or should it be a higher value after resetting? Or did the action not succeed? I’m a little confused.
