I connected the software to my bike (2020 Scrambler 800) and was able to go through the Get Licence process. The licence duly arrived by email and I saved it in the same folder as the software. According to a Youtube video I have seen the software is supposed to automatically detect the licence and the get licence button either disappears or gets greyed out? This is not happening and the software is not allowing me to reset the annual service notification.
When I go to resets is shows a DESMO reset button but not an annual service reset button. Have I done something wrong?
Also I have received a warning message saying "if UMAP is loaded do not loose it, please unload it before doing any resets' I don't know what the UMAP is and neither do I know how to unload it.
HELP PLEASE!
Received Licenc but not recognising it.

Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
I have now managed to move on. I moved the software to a directory called !MELCODIAG!. I then reapplied for the licence and installed the new licence in the new directory and when I connected to the bike it found the licence OK and the 'Get Licence' button disappeared.
My problem now is that I am not able to reset the Annual Service and I am still getting this UMAP message. How do I unload UMAP before doing resets?
Thanks.
Geoff

Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
this message is a global warning , what ever the bike is
you don't need to mind it with your configuration
do you know the ecu model fitted on your bike ?

No I do not know the ECU model. Is there a way of finding this out? If the warning is just something I can ignore then my only problem seems to be that I can't reset the Annual Service

Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
Looking at the Ducati Forums it seems that my bike probably has the Siemens M3C ECU
Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
are you getting the serial number when you tick m3c before pressing connect button ?

Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
OK so this is where we are this morning.
The word on the forums seems to be that I have an M3C ECU and that I should select that instead of Any Bike.
So, I select that. It connects through to the bike but is now not recognising the licence. I have not changed anything from yesterday and it recognised it fine. I am guessing that because I applied for the licence with it set to Any Bike, the software now does not like that licence when changing setting to M3C ECU.
OK, so I set it it to M3C ECU and re-apply for the licence but the website says ECU already registered! Arrrrggghhh!!!
Regards Geoff

Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
if you select m3c you still have your vin displayed?
if you have an m3c ecu there should be a serial number instead the VIN

Re: Received Licenc but not recognising it.
If I select M3C I get VIN no 4000401177 displayed and ECU type 5WY8691-AA displayed
If I select Any bike I get VIN Serial No ZDMKC04AALB014465 displayed. No ECU information is displayed.
If I start program and connect using 'any bike' the Get Licence button goes after the VIN is fetched
If I start program and connect using M3C the Get Licence button remains and does not go away
If I connect using AnyBike, disconnect and reconnect using M3C without restarting the program then it connects but does not allow any reset of Annual Service and no button is displayed that might allow this.
The upload permitted size is too small on this forum to upload screenshots, so I have sent to you by email
It looks as if I may need to get a licence with M3C selected but currently I cannot get any more licences because it says ECU already registered.
I note from the forums that other Scrambler Icon 800 owners seem to have made the software work, so I remain hopeful
