Scan for DTCs, AFR, TPS

Post by dollatom »

Salut, milles des remercis pour cette logiciel. Je suis demi-Francais, mais faible comme ecrivan, donc je continue en Anglais, mes excuses.

I have connected to a 2015 Scrambler Classic (M3C)

The engine has been swapped due to oil failure on previous engine. Since then it has never responded to throttle correctly. It runs well, but surges unpredictably and dangerously.

I have verified there is no unmetered air (intakes are well connected.) There are DTCs shown on dash "ENGINE" and MIL illuminated, but clicking into DTCs on MelcoDiag, then Scan for ECUs shows "7E1", but clicking scan 7E1 for DTCs returns no codes.

This behavior is air/fuel, or throttle position. I am proceeding with testing sensor and wiring, but DTCs could help me here, how can I scan them?

Additionally, is it possible to clarify AFR Self Adaptation and TPS (Cable throttle) procedure?

Merci encore
Tom

Ah ok so I shouldn't scan/connect to the ECU.

I get valid DTCs on 500, I was misunderstanding how the DTCs work here.

Using the DTCs, I have added confidence to my problem. I believe the MAP sensor is broken. Jumping the wires sets DTCs, but no value in live refresh on "Intake manifold air" changes for this bike, I bet that's just not implemented.

I have traced and toned wires back to the ECU for the MAP sensor and everything points to failure. I will replace it and see what we get.

Merci encore.
