Panigale 959, ECU Connection /DTC Error

Post by Ameizing »

Hey,
I have a Ducati Panigale 959 (2017), and it seems like I cannot establish a proper connection to the ECU.
I can only connect using “38400” and “Any Bike”, which allows me to read the VIN and software version correctly.

However, under:
• ECU: Ð
• Hardware: 1Ð

These values seem incorrect—could this be a bug or an issue?

Issue with ECU Scan

When I navigate to the DTC tab and click “Scan for ECUs”, the following addresses are detected:
• ECU found on: 7DF, 7E9
• ECU found on: 7E0, 7E8
• ECU found on: 7E1, 7E9
• ECU found on: 7E3, 7EB
• ECU found on: 7E4, 7EC

However, when I select “ECU found on: 7DF, 7E9” and click “DTC on 7DF, 7E9”, I always receive the message:

“No answer on 7DF.”

This happens with all detected ECUs.

⸻ ⸻ ⸻

Issue when selecting M3C / M3D

When I select M3C / M3D instead of “Any Bike,” I can no longer read VIN, Hardware, ECU, or ECU Type.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

⸻ ⸻ ⸻ ⸻

Context of the Issue

I previously disconnected my exhaust servo motor, which triggered a DTC error.
I then installed a HealTech Eliminator, but the DTC message is still present, and I would like to clear it.

I have already tried all baud rates, but the issue persists.

try to press DTC button before doing an ecu scan , you will get those stored on 7e2
after the scan , i need to fix something avoiding to read dtc on each ecu

it's normal you have nothing if you tick m3c, you don't have this kind of ecu

Hello!

I hope all is well!
I am having the same issue pulling the ECU type, Hardware version, and Software version. Any input would be helpful!

I have tried the DTC on 7E2:7E4.
I got faults for P100C Exhaust valve potentiometer [short circuit to positive]

Here is the report:

Thank you for writing back. I was concerned that the ECU, Hardware, and software were not reading right and there might be an issue activating.
I am running the license now and MELCODIAG is communicating with the dash and ECU. The ECU, Hardware, and software are not reading but the tool seems to be functioning.

Thank you, no issues so far! I was mistaken.
