Unable to reset Desmo Service on 2015 Scrambler

I'm running the most recent version of Melcodiag and trying to reset the Desmo service on my 2015 Scrambler Classic. I have a licence and Melco reads the ECU and registers the licence. When I click on Desmo Reset the blue bar illuminates the lower half of the button them goes out with a beep sound. But when I check on the dash the service light hasn't cleared. This is the debug file:

all dll files present in melcodiag directory and unlocked ?

Both .dll files are present in the same directory as the melcodiag.exe and the cle.lic and are unlocked. I have installed another download but haven't tried it yet.

I've installed a new download and reloaded the FTDI drivers. The result is exactly the same, licence is recognised but I'm unable to do any resets or static tests. When reading DTCs it got stuck in a loop and I had to quit with Task Manager.
I have 3 ELM327 units, the most recent from Lonelec which used to work perfectly but now it comes up with "Can't init ELM, check your COM settings".
It does connect with another ELM which uses the wnc. driver.
When I tried connect to any bike i got an error saying "ERR Checkbox2: A device attached to the system is not functioning.
If it is of any consequence I used to a Laptop with Windows 95 and it worked fine. I now have on running Windows Vista. Could this be an issue?

win 95 is very old i'mnot it can work if you don't instal visual redistribuables
same for vista.
you don't have newer OS ?

No I don't have a newer OS. The Laptop I'm using won't support Windows 10 or 11. I'm a Mac user and don't want to spent a lot of cash on a Windows laptop that will get hardly any use.
I should add that my current setup worked perfectly well to reset the oil service light on my Supersport 939 about 3 weeks ago, so the issue would seem to be software related and not the hardware.
Back in 2022 when you were looking into adding the Scramblers to Melcodiag you sent me an .exe to try and return the debug file to you which I did. You then sent me another .exe which reset the service light. I sent you the debug file and I believe this info was used for Melcodiag 2.0.1.5 which incorporated the Scrambler. This was using my previous Windows 95 laptop and the same ELM cables that I currently have. I have tried the same .exe and I'm mystified as to why it doesn't work now.

current version is 2.0.5.2
2.0.1.5 seems very old to me i'mnot sure it was working with scrambler yet
you have to tick m3c before connencting then it shall be ok

I'm currently running 2.0.5.2, 2.0.1.5 was the test version you sent me. back in 2022. And yes I tick the M3C box.

How do I unlock the .dll files? Why would the installer install locked files?
