I have been trying to get a licence for Melcodiag for my Multistrada 1200S 2011.
I have connected using a ELM 321 1.5 cable, but the softwared doesn't seem to connect, and the information in the window is rejected by the message system when I try to send it for a licence.
I have tried 2011 and 2012. I have changed the com port speed.
I have attached some images showing the kind of thing I have got.
I want to reset the PIN, and to check DTC's

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have downloaded the Melcodiag software and used it straight away this week.
Your comment about conventional ELM are you saying I have the wrong cable?
I do not know how to find the "debug" report. Please can you tell me how to get it.

button create report ,
check in the same directory as melcodiag the file MelcoDiag.exe.debug.txt file
if the button write report isn't activated after the init sequence , untick tick debug info request

the com speed is ok , but you get no data from the ecu , the possible reasons could be :
- you dind't switch on ignition
- you are not connected on the diagnosis port
- your elm is not compatible ( we having problem with some v1.5 as yours)

Just to update this thread.
I bought another ELM cable.
This time it worked.
Thanks for the advice.
