Panigale V2 2019 - Can't init Elm error

Good morning
Tried connecting MelcoDiag to my Panigale v2 2019, but I can't get past the initial error (can't innit Elm error). Here is what happened: I have purchased the FORscan ELM 327 OBD2 (https://it.aliexpress.com/item/10050090 ... pt=glo2ita). I have then connected the ELM to the bike and to the PC, installing the CH340 drivers, as suggested, and selecting the correct COM port and correct COM speed (adjustable on device manager). Even if these two settings are correct all I get is the bike to rev the fan and flash the turn lights until the error flashes on the screen, a "DTC error" also appears on the display. Changing COM ports, changing drivers and rebooting PC/Melcodiag doens't help at all. I have read that some ELM 327 scanners sold on the internet might be clones of the original, and therefore they don't work. Could it also be that I run the software on Windows 7? Is it mandatory to have W10? Any help is appreciated.

how do you know this elm use the wch340 driver ?can you post the devicemanager comport section ?
the com portspeed in device manager is over written by melcodiag , it's useless to change it there

Hello, thanks for replying so fast. In the first place I started by following a tutorial that suggested to purchase that specific product and those drivers for an Hypermotard. I discovered soon enough that every bike is different. I am having troubles identifying the proper device that could work with my Panigale. In the past I also purchased this product: https://it.aliexpress.com/item/10050069 ... pt=glo2ita; Could this work instead?
Anyway, would appreciate any help regarding the kind of hardware that can work with my 2019 Panigale, and I'll also attach some screenshots, I hope that's what you mean with "comport section", thanks.

this cable can't works.
your bike use the can bus for the diag , only an elm can handle the can bus.
the cable you bough is a kkl for serial line communcation

Understood, the KKL cable does not work, to be honest I didnt't even try. As I said, I tried with an ELM as well (the first link I sent), and I couldn't connect the bike to the software, as I stated at the start of the topic. Any suggestion? Just wanted to know what could be wrong or if I can make it work with what I have. Thanks again.

Good Morning, I managed to get this debug message. I first tried to connect the bike to the software, and then after the error (can't init elm, check com speed... the usual) I clicked on "write report" and created the file. As always, trying to connect the bike to the software causes the hazard lights to flash and the fan to start spinning, I don't know if that could help. Anyway, here is the report the software created:

Have you made the report with the elm cable ?
Melcodiag can’t find it because
- comport isn’t right
- com speed ain’t right
- the cable is it an elm
