Scrambler 800, 2023 nightshift

Post by vijzen »

I downloaded the software and I am able to connect to the motorcycle without any issues. In the software there is a section where you can select the ECU. I selected M3C and M3D, and I am able to connect immediately without purchasing a license.
However, when I go to Resets and try to reset the maintenance interval, I see “Annual Service 1”. When I click on it, nothing happens and the service warning remains visible on the motorcycle dashboard.
I also tried using ECU? and Bike?, but the system does not read my VIN number, so that option does not work either.
Could you please advise what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to properly reset the service indicator?
Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your message.
I’m not sure which ECU my bike has, and I don’t know how to identify it exactly. The bike is a Ducati Scrambler 800 Nightshift (2023).
When I select M3C/M3D, the software connects, but I am not able to reset the service indicator.
When I select AnyBike, the VIN is not read.
Below is the debug report you asked for:

No ecu data

Hi,
Thanks for clarifying.
I understand now that the previous text was not the correct report. I tried to generate the report as you described, but I’m running into the following behavior:
AnyBike mode
When I select AnyBike, the system shows “no ECU data”.
I then press Write Report.
After that, when I press Get a licence and fill in my details, I get an error message saying:
“Error: missing some information.”
Because of this, I’m not able to generate or send a proper debug report in AnyBike mode.
M3C / M3D mode
When I select M3C / M3D and press Write Report, I get the message “Report done”.
However, after that, the Get a licence button disappears.
In this mode, I am able to press the service interval reset buttons, but nothing actually happens:
the service warning remains on the dashboard
no confirmation or error message is shown
I have attached some screenshots showing exactly what I see in both modes.
Please let me know:
how I can correctly generate the MelcoDiag.exe.debug.txt report in this situation
and if the “no ECU data” message indicates an unsupported ECU or connection issue
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Stan
