2021 Desert Sled issues

Post by Mr Fox »

I've been trying to reset my annual service on the sled as well as the desmo (although the light is not yet popped up, but i've done the job so).

I am using https://www.lonelec.com/product/obd2-wi ... ader-v1-5/ and am able to connect to it via Melcodiag. I am not able to pull a report to get a license with "M3C" ticked, only with "Any bike" selected, sent that and received the license yesterday. Tried resetting but it does not work.
I can connect and read the VIN and it is correct but it does not seem to provide proper "ECU Type" or "Hardware version" with "Any bike" ticked
I had one session where it connected with M3C and read "CAN ERROR" ECU type, VIN and so on.

Any idea of what could be wrong?

And sorry JP! I sent an email before reading that this should be way of communications.

i'mnot sure your bike has a continental ecu M3C , can you confirm it ?
else for the light reset you may need to wait the light comes up

So from your side it is looking ok?
The yearly service is showing up, but I can not remove it.
Image below shows picture of the ECU, not sure if that helps?

Glad to know I’ve done it correct at least! So that means I can not reset the service light, or should ”any bike” work?

i think any bike is the right option.
we can try different settings / resets by changing the bike model manually
i'm sending you some instructions

I’ve tried all the bike models but no luck. And it is “service intervaI” I should reset, right?
can see the OBD reader sending/receiving but nothing. Is there any indication from Melco when it should be a success?

Could the issue be that I did not tick “oil service active” when I requested the license?
