Have licence but can’t proceed further

Hello

After running through the setup I was able to connect the software, then download a licence but could not proceed further so went for a break.

Since re connecting after a break and re visit of the steps to ensure I’ve done things correctly I couldnt get Melcodiag to connect to my Ducati MTS 1200 (2011) and it displayed a com error. After changing usb ports this solved it.

However, I have the licence saved with the melcodiag files but it’s not greyed out and was prompted to send a debug report, which is below before I can proceed please?

you are usinga very old version , i invit you to re download melcodiag
your licence file is not valid , if you changed the PC since the last attempt , you need to register again

What is the latest version please? I used the DVD, (yes, very 90’s) which came with the cable from EBay

Ok so I downloaded from the site and re registered (got another licence), dropped in the Melcodiag directory restarted the pc and still the licence button isn’t greyed out.

i see you use different PC
be sure you use same PC for register and melcodiag

I downloaded a fresh (latest version) of Melcodiag and licence onto the new pc. The first laptop stopped working/it was old so I had to try a new device.

I’m unsure what steps to take? Should I delete all files on the new device then re install and request a new licence?

you should register from the pc you will use with melcodiag.
do not transfer the lic to an other PC that won't works
if you still have problems , do the checks in the step 5 here viewtopic.php?t=5

Those steps helped and identified the licence file was locked.
