Hello, I have exactly the same problem with my 2018 Ducati Panigale V4.
I'm using an ELM 327 V2.1 with Bluetooth (China). I tried changing the communication speed to 9600 baud, but it didn't work any better.
Is it a ELM 327 problem or cable problem !!??

if you can see the elm version , don't touch the speed ; it's the correct one

it's possible your elm is not fully compliant yes . prefer 1.4 version

After experiencing the same problem with my ELM327 Bluetooth V2.1 as thesanerone. I ordered an ELM327 USB V1.4 and it works for my Panigale V4 2018 .
The problem comes from the ELM version .
Version 2.1 is not supported by the MelcoDiag application.

it's not as simple as a matter of version.
some cheap elm only works on 7df pid , this is a broadcast PID that can be used with standard electronics systems .
but our bikes are more picky , they need specific PID's
