Partial data read - only VIN

Hi Everyone,

I'm curious if anyone else has encountered something similar to my situation.
I'm trying to reset the yearly service on my bike. But can't seem to be able to fully connect to the ECU, it won't read the type.

Bike: 2021 Supersport 950S.
Cable: bought from BMDIAG for melcodiag compatibility. Link https://www.bmdiag.co.uk/bmdiag-obd-int ... n-software.
Melcodiag version 2.0.4.4

I bought the cable for the Melcodiag compatibility.
Quote on the webpage:
"V1.4 ELM327 Compatible
FTDI Chip
Compatible with the Triumph Tiger Tool, MultiECUScan, MelcoDiag and all good OBD2 software that requires an V1.4 ELM interface"

When I try connecting to the bike, it returns the VIN of the bike, but not the ECU Type.

I'm open to suggestions.

with some bike , i don't get all data ,
the most important is that the vin is readen and your bike identified by melcodiag .
so the right commands can be used

can you put the debug report content here ?

Interestingly, a bit over a year ago I used the diagnostic cable of a friend of mine (clone from aliexpress) and that worked perfectly. I already requested a license using his cable, thinking, I'll be able to use it once I get my own cable.

I don't think the VIN has changed right ?
Melcodiag is not finding the cle.lic file you lost the one you got last time ?
what happen when you fill the registration page and submit it ?

No, the VIN didn't change.
I just tested with the license file. The software connects to the bike like before, sees VIN and bike model software version, no ecu type. But I tried resetting the annual service interval, and it worked.
I was curious if anything else worked, but sadly didn't seem to. (I'm still happy about the service light disappearing).

Just having this issue.... the software is only pulling the VIN number and nothing else. clicking the submit button does nothing. :0(
