Problems: TPS, Service Reset and Co GREY

Post by AlexxR »

Hi everyone,

I have a 2006 Ducati 999 with Termignoni slip-on exhausts and I’m currently using JPDiag for diagnostics and adjustments.

I’m trying to reset the TPS and adjust the CO trim, but both options are greyed out in JPDiag. The same happens with the service reset function.

Does anyone know why these functions are not available?

A few details:
- Bike: Ducati 999 (2006)
- ECU: (not 100% sure, likely stock)
- Connection works fine (I can read errors and live data without issues)

What I already tried:
- I have obtained and activated a JPDiag license, but it didn’t change anything
- I entered the key for ECU unlocking (EKO), following all instructions
- As far as I can tell, everything was done correctly, but the functions are still disabled

Could this be related to:
- ECU type or firmware limitations?
- Incorrect or incomplete activation?
- Something I might have missed in the setup?

I’d really appreciate any insight into what might be causing this and how to enable those functions.

Thanks a lot!

Hello, I basically followed everything as described, but the functions are still greyed out.

The battery is new, but it only shows 12.3V when starting – could that be the reason? A second battery is also connected.

I will reinstall everything completely in the home folder now.

I’ll get back to you later.

I don’t know what else to try. I installed everything exactly according to the instructions in the correct folder, unlocked the license, and ran it as administrator, but the problem still persists.

Could it be caused by a low-quality chip in the cable?

No I don’t think so
Any chances you have several licences and not using the good one ?

No, only the license you sent me. However, I had specified the 999 with a slip-on exhaust. But I’ve noticed that I’m actually riding the standard Ecu. Maybe that’s the reason?

I’m really desperate… I did everything the way it’s supposed to be!
Maybe try an older version of the program?
I have access to the fan test, etc., but the co trim that’s relevant for me is still greyed out…
