Monster 1100S issues – Melcodiag no reset functions

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some help with my bike:

Ducati Monster 1100S using Melcodiag
OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner used:

I’ve managed to get a connection to the ECU, and the software reads the ecu data and i was able to get the license.
However, I cannot reset the desmo service warning. or perform a TPS reset. All buttons on Melcodiag do nothing at the moment.

From what I’ve seen, other users with similar setups are able to perform these functions, so I’m trying to understand what I might be missing.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

there is something wrong with the licence "not registered"
have you done all step after the chapter 5 here viewtopic.php?t=5 ?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I followed all the steps you suggested.
Running Melcodiag from a dedicated folder on C
License file is placed in the same folder. Debug shows “lic found”.
Windows Defender disabled.
Running as administrator.
Despite all this, i get "not registered" on the debug file and the TPS reset and service reset buttons remain greyed out.

The ECU is read correctly and the license file is present. The debug file shows:

I have followed all the steps carefully, but the reset buttons remain greyed out.

Any further guidance would be appreciated.

Just a quick update — I finally got everything working.

jpl250rs kindly provided me with a new license file, and after that everything worked perfectly.
I was able to reset the TPS and clear the Desmo service without any problems.
